The Beginning
It was June 21st—my 21st birthday. I walked into Woody’s Bar hoping that, for once, I might meet someone and have somebody to share my birthday with. Instead, I found myself surrounded by people while feeling completely alone.
A loving wife, mother, partner, and unforgettable soul
This memorial video is dedicated to my loving wife, Gwenavere Rene Dearden, who passed away in a tragic train accident on February 17, 2007.

Some memories are painful to revisit, but they are also reminders that love leaves a mark that time cannot erase.
Talking about this part of my life has never been easy. I could speak for hours about Gwenavere, the life we built, the dreams we shared, and everything that changed after losing her.
This is not every memory or every detail. It is the part of our journey that explains why her name, her love, and the year 2007 remain at the heart of this mission.
Some memories are clear. Some are still being recovered. Together they tell the story of love, fatherhood, loss, survival, and why Dearden2007 exists.

A chapter about fatherhood, family, and the memories that became part of our foundation.
Our marriage, the future we imagined, and the meaning that day continues to hold.
The loss of Gwenavere and the moment that divided life into everything before and everything after.
Court dates, documents, decisions, and the story behind the 48 days I was allowed with my son.
A video of my son Tristen i just stumbed upon the video! It almost brought me to tears
One day he just asked me for a picture it was awesome! My son was thinking of me! It was just a nice feeling for me that day!
A new generation begins as Tristen becomes a father and Joshua prepares to become a grandfather.
Dearden2007 was created from grief, love, fatherhood, hardship, and the belief that men should not have to face their darkest moments alone.
Gwenavere’s name, love, and memory remain part of everything this organization represents.
Men facing grief, depression, family separation, financial hardship, or emotional pain deserve somewhere to turn.
Fathers and men deserve to be heard, treated with dignity, and recognized as people whose relationships and mental health matter.
Photographs, court records, family memories, important dates, and the moments that shaped our story are preserved here.
This archive contains deeply personal memories and difficult chapters. Explore it whenever you feel prepared.
